Since 1993, the DoD STARBASE Kansas program has helped more than 126,000 students apply
the principles of science, technology, engineering, art/design and mathematics (STEAM) to
daily life. Schools that attend the program do so free of charge as the DoD STARBASE program
is primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and the Office of the Secretary of
Defense for Reserve Affairs OSD-RA. Our focus is on those students who are historically
underrepresented in STEAM careers. Individuals, foundations, civic and service groups also
support STARBASE through financial and volunteer contributions.
