The Coronado staff came together in a big way for this year's Project Salina food drive--and the results were nothing short of amazing! As part of a district-wide effort involving all USD 305 buildings, Coronado Elementary proudly contributed 1,631 boxes of macaroni and cheese to benefit the Salina Food Bank.
To add some friendly competition, our staff split into two teams: Team Mac and Team Cheese. The race was close, but in the end Team Cheese edged out the win by just about 20 boxes! Both teams put in a tremendous effort, and their combined spirit made a real difference.
A special shoutout goes to Mrs. Manwaring's class, who set a goal of donating 100 boxes-- and they did it! As a reward for their hard work and generosity, they'll be celebrating with a PJ and donut party.
Every single box collected will help families right here in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged and helped this food drive a success. Together, we're building a stronger Salina-- one box at a time.
